  10.        The following changes have been made to SGI CDE 5.3 since
  11.        CDE 5.2:

  13.        1. RRRReeeemmmmoooovvvvaaaallll ooooffff ttttoooooooollllttttaaaallllkkkk:::: CDE now uses Irix Tooltalk rather
  14.         than providing its own version, thus reducing
  15.         incompatibilities.

  18.        The following changes have been made to SGI CDE 5.0 since
  19.        TED 4.4.1:

  21.        1. IIIInnnnssssttttaaaallllllllaaaattttiiiioooonnnn ffffoooorrrrmmmmaaaatttt::::  Installation is performed through
  22.         inst (miniroot and terminal) or sssswwwwmmmmggggrrrr using standard SGI
  23.         product distribution format.  This enables better
  24.         management of installation versions.

  26.        2. DDDDeeeevvvveeeellllooooppppeeeerrrr ttttoooooooollllssss::::  Application Builder (ddddttttbbbbuuuuiiiillllddddeeeerrrr) and
  27.         online help builder (ddddtttthhhheeeellllppppttttaaaagggg) are added.

  29.        3. RRRReeeebbbbaaaaddddggggiiiinnnngggg::::  The product is now known as SGI Common
  30.         Desktop Environment (CDE) rather than TriTeal Enterprise
  31.         Desktop (TED), and is maintained directly by SGI.

  33.        4. LLLLiiiicccceeeennnnssssiiiinnnngggg::::  There is no longer any runtime licensing
  34.         required.

  36.        5. LLLLoooogggg iiiinnnn wwwwiiiitttthhhhoooouuuutttt aaaa ppppaaaasssssssswwwwoooorrrrdddd::::  Users without a password can
  37.         login only if ppppaaaasssssssswwwwdddd____rrrreeeeqqqquuuuiiiirrrreeeedddd is not set in ppppaaaammmm....ccccoooonnnnffff.
